Yeah, I think he was really immersed! >< But more than that, he probably needed a distraction. It looks like he often had to practice on his own, so maybe putting all that focus into things felt better for him than having to know that the rest of the cast was getting to spend all their breaktime together.... T___T
I remember the uncle interview too! Hahaha, was it crazy uncle, they called him? And you're right--I think everyone thought he was like the uncle! I can see that though....XD
And Shohei said that in one of his Myojo interviews immediately following the end of Tumbling/5th Ann., I believe. I can't say I blame him, what with Nissy's talent!
